H.K. Designs’ record breaking ring took close to nine months to manufacture and the computer aided design work alone took four months, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. The business was awarded the Guinness World Record in Mumbai after representatives from the organisation verified the ring.

“This ring has been completely made out of recycled materials - recycled gold as well as diamonds re-purposed from the returns received from customers,” announced the Guinness World Records on its website. “The ring has a total of eight parts which include four layers of petals, the shank, two diamond discs, and the butterfly.”

The 18 carat gold ring is designed to show the connection between humans and nature. The H.K. group has pledges to plant a tree for each of the diamonds set in the ring to show its commitment to sustainability and the ring is valued at $785,645.

“I am deeply grateful for the recognition from Guinness World Records,” said Hari Krishna Exports Private Limited’s founder and managing director Ghanshyam Dholakia, the GJEPC reported. “It is a testament to our team's hard work and dedication at Hari Krishna Exports and H.K. Designs. We are proud to showcase our commitment to sustainability and artistic excellence through the Eutierria Ring, and we hope to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in the jewellery industry.”
