H&M to launch exclusive Black Friday collection

H&M typically dedicates the fall season, particularly November, to its designer collaboration collection, but this year the fast fashion retailer is doing things differently. On Thursday, the Swedish company introduced its first Black Friday collection, which will launch on November 25 at H&M stores and online.

The H&M Black Friday Collection - H&M

The new Black Friday collection includes pieces like bomber jackets, faux leather pants, velour track suits, body suits, knits and graphic t-shirts for men, women and children. H&M designers aimed to create comprehensive high fashion appeal with the all-black collection, and also created a complimentary home collection.

In November, H&M released its designer collaboration collection with Kenzo. Supply issues hindered the launch day sales, and stores were reported to have shorter lines compared to the launch of the previous year’s collaboration collection with Balmain.

As expected, customers lined up and waited as long as two days, and the collection launch crashed the H&M website. But on November 4, it was reported that the collection was still available. The trendy Black Friday collection may perform better for the company, especially due to its launch day.

In addition to the collection launch, H&M will launch special deals in store and online beginning on November 17 and additional deals on November 27.

The Swedish company will close all of its stores on Thanksgiving and will reopen on Black Friday.
