The store is spread over an area of 12,000 square-feet and will house all of H&M’s product lines including womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, and accessories.

“H&M is excited to launch its first store in a metro station at Huda City Centre, Gurgaon. We see tremendous potential here to invite a large and relevant set of customers to the store,” said Janne Einola, Country Manager at H&M India.

H&M has been rapidly expanding its presence in India and most recently reported a 40 percent increase in revenue to Rs 893 crore for the fiscal year 2017-18 from India.

H&M opened its first store in India in 2015. Since then, the brand has expanded across the country and currently has 35 stores in India. It also sells its products through its namesake e-commerce site in India, which was launched in March this year.

H&M aims to open 50 stores across India by 2020 with an expected investment of Rs 700 crore. In the coming months, H&M plans to add five more stores in cities like Amritsar, Bangalore and the National Capital Region.
