Gurugram International Fashion Week to hold first edition with Neeta Lulla

Designer Neeta Lulla will open the first ever edition of Gurugram International Fashion Week on May 31. The event will run at the city’s Crown Plaza Hotel until June 2.

An array of designers will take part in the inaugural edition of Gurugram International Fashion Week including Rina Dhaka, Arjun & Anjali Kapoor, and Narendra Kumar. The event is organised by Kunal Gupta, Rudra Sinha, and M Satya who aim to shine the spotlight on fashion in Gurugram. 

Designer Rina Dhaka will present a casual wear collection at the event. “You will see a simple, wearable collection: with whites and creams which are very easy to wear during high summer,” Dhaka told TSG Sunday Guardian about her upcoming show which will also include sustainable textiles.

The three-day event will feature runway shows and entertainment for both established fashion brands and up-and-coming designers. This will be the first “fashion week” to take place in Gurugram for which the way has been paved by an increasing number of fashion exhibitions and shopping events. The event’s organisers hope that the fashion week will be the first of many editions to come as Gurugram’s fashion industry continues to expand.
