Gur’s first line of personal care products is designed to take its sustainable approach to fashion and apply it to personal care. The brand’s new ‘winter care’ line, made in collaboration with Mantra, is designed to offer sustainable beauty solutions to skin issues caused by the colder months, the brand announced on Facebook. The line includes a face oil, cuticle oil, and a lip oil, each made from a blend of nourishing Ayurvedic ingredients, and has launched on Gur’s dedicated e-commerce store.

Qureshi’s brand also stepped into jewellery with Valliyan and launched a collection of bold, sculptural chokers, earrings, and necklaces made from recycled materials. The jewellery line is made from materials including repurposed shell, glass, bamboo, natural stones, and gold-plated copper, among others.

“The increasing global focus on sustainability in the fashion industry has also raised questions about the environmental impacts and ethics of the jewellery that we adorn ourselves with,” wrote Gur on Facebook to announce the jewellery launch.

“Sustainable and ethical jewellery means transparent and responsible sourcing practices and use of sustainable materials.

“Gur x Valliyan embodies the innovation that the fashion industry needs more of -- using recycled materials to produce beautiful globally-marketable products, while equipping local artisans with new skill sets and providing them with a sustainable source of income,” said Gur.
