As sustainable fashion becomes increasingly popular in India’s bridge-to-luxury market, Gur Organics is expanding its use of eco-friendly textiles. The brand is innovating a new range of bio-degradable textiles made from white rose, banana, eucalyptus, aloe, and orange with youthful silhouettes and a feminine aesthetic. This season, the brand has also incorporated a new range of recycled materials for its embellishments.

The Fiza festive collection has a paired down aesthetic but features several glittery details to give it an occasion wear touch including hand embroidered pieces of recycled mirrors and recycled sequins. The details add a touch of the opulent, glittering aesthetic Qureshi displays in her other womenswear brand.

Gue Organics is also currently working with milk fabric, it recently announced on Facebook. Milk fabric can be blended with other fibres including silk, is organic, and is biodegradable, according to the brand.

“Apart from being sustainable and eco friendly, milk fibre has the same ph level as our skin which helps in maintaining our moisture level and hence making it more compatible and beneficial for our skin. And it is also antibacterial and anti-fungal,” Gur Organics shared on Facebook.

As shoppers spend more time at home, casual silhouettes and comfortable textiles have become more popular with comfortable clothing that can be dressed up emerging as a break-out product category. Fiza caters to this with its range of kaftans and loose dresses designed for longing at home or attending intimate festive events.
