Gur held its ‘Gur for Covid Relief’ fundraising initiative from May 24 to 30 and donated 100% of the proceeds from the sale section of its e-commerce store to the KSCF, the brand announced on Facebook.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has deprived children from continuing their education,” the brand announced on Facebook. “Understanding these challenges, we have joined the cause in collaboration with KSCF India. We’re doing our bit, it’s time you do yours.”

The KSCF was established in Delhi in 2004 by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi to provide children with opportunities for education. During the second wave of the pandemic, the charity is providing children with smartphones, tablets, and pre-paid mobile connections to enable them to continue their education from home. The foundation is also providing children with the midday meals they would have previously had at school.

Along with releasing its summer collection, Gur recently expanded its product range and launched a line of rugs in collaboration with House of Rugs named ‘Gur x House’. The rugs feature bold, abstract patterns in neutral tones and retail from Gur’s e-commerce store.
