Gucci Eyewear: A vivid fantasy voyage as imagined by Petra Collins

Photographer Petra Collins is behind the lens for a new Gucci short, drawing on childhood memories to bring dreamlike images to life, combining inspiration from her Hungarian roots with the Italian label's eyewear.

The photographer has directed a short film, broadcast by the Italian label in Milan at the Fashion Week. The video is a celebration of Gucci eyewear via the creations by Alessandro Michele, the creative director of the fashion house.

The two children in the video, borrowing a pair of Gucci frames from their grandmother nodding off in front of the television, enter into a rock'n'roll dream in Budapest.

Petra Collins has already worked and even walked for Gucci, and the collaboration between the two isn't about to finish. Accompanying the video is the hashtag #GucciDreamscape, fuelling speculation that other events are to follow.
