Madonna recruited the most coveted designers by the likes of Alessandro Michele, Creative Director of Gucci, Moschino’s Creative Director Jeremy Scott and Alexander Wang to design the costumes for her upcoming tour, Rebel Heart.

The 59-year old British pop star, who usually dons designer garments on and off the stage, will also perform in her tenth worldwide concert tour in designs by Fausto Puglisi, Prada, Miu Miu, Swarovski and the Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran.

The announcement also sparked confusion among Madonna's followers, as Versace was absent from the lineup. The singer of "Like a Virgin" recently starred in the Italian label’s 2015 advertising campaign, released in December last year.

Madonna's Heart Rebel tour opens on September 9 in Montreal, Canada and ends on March 27 in Brisbane, Australia. Though this is an unusually large number of costume designers for a world tour, it's not the first time the pop star collaborates with fashion creatives. Madonna has also famously worn designs by Jean Paul Gaultier and Jeremy Scott on music videos, and a matador outfit by Riccardo Tisci on the red carpet.
