Greendigo Organic Clothing has partnered with NGO Trishul to distribute clothing to underprivileged children over the festive season.

The brand’s co-founders, sisters Meghna Kishore and Barkha Bhatnagar Das, are currently distributing clothing from their certified organic cotton children’s wear line to children in urban slums and economically underprivileged villages with Trishul over the Christmas season. By donating new and unused organic cotton production samples and unsold inventory, the brand is also cutting down on its textile waste, a major source of environmental pollution.

“All kids love Christmas, irrespective of where they live or what traditions they follow,” said Kishore, in a press release.

“When we distribute Christmas gifts to underprivileged children, the look of excitement on their faces is priceless.”

“With the pandemic playing havoc with the livelihoods of many, this festive season is about being mindful of the people in need,” said Bhatnagar Das, in a press release.

“We work closely with children of urban slum dwellers and believe in distributing gifts that are appropriate, meaningful and useful for them. After all, there’s nothing quite like the joy on a child’s face when he or she receives Christmas gifts for the very first time and the satisfaction we get on seeing their happiness is unparalleled.”
