To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Met’s reimagined Islamic Wing, the famed museum has partnered with artisans from across the world who work with traditional craft techniques. One of these is Good Earth which has taken pieces from The Met’s Islamic art collection and used them as inspiration to create a collection, the brand announced on Facebook. The initiative is designed to help preserve traditional craftsmanship and Good Earth chose a poppy motif as the starting point for its line of products for the collaboration.

“It has been a pleasure for us at Good Earth to collaborate with Madeline Weinrib for we share the same values, and I am delighted to participate in this most relevant initiative at the Met Museum to honour the heritage skills of diverse Islamic cultures around the world,” said Good Earth’s creative director Anita Lal, the brand announced on Facebook.

“I have been a fan of The Good Earth since they first opened their doors and I make a point to visit their stores on every trip to India,” said designer Madeline Weinrib, who worked on the collection with Good Earth.

"Their mission for preserving hand crafts has made them the perfect partner for The Met Store’s Heirloom Project. We have together made a set of hand-blocked textiles and tabletop serve ware that bring together a gorgeous east-meets-west aesthetic that is collectible and exciting for all.”
