Fashion and lifestyle brand Good Earth has collaborated with French-Tunisian illustrator and designer Thierry Journo. The design partnership has resulted in a spring collection of luxury home textiles and homeware.

The collaborative collection named ‘Mirage’ is inspired by the Mediterranean and the Sahara and features whimsical illustrations by Journo. “Encountering a mirage under desert palms... Green festoons, a beautiful Sultana, and a resting cheetah complete this whimsical narrative,” wrote Good Earth on Facebook about the collaborative collection’s latest launch, a line of printed textile cushions.

“‘Mirage’ introduces an all-new vocabulary of kaleidoscopic patterns and colours with various possibilities,” Good Earth’s founder Anita Lal told Vogue India about the collection. “We went through nearly five rounds of sampling before production began.”

The collection also includes a range of fine china tableware featuring Journo’s designs. These were manufactured by a Good Earth team of female artisans and feature hand-applied gold bands.

The collaborative collection is designed to celebrate a merging of cultures, as are many of Good Earth’s fusion style clothing designs. Journo explored his childhood in Tunisia, as well as his current experiences living in Jaipur, through a series of colourful illustrations which celebrate shared traditions.
