Good Earth partners with Christie's for its London spring sale

Indian fashion and lifestyle brand Good Earth has partnered with British heritage auction house Christie’s for an exhibition in London and launched the ‘Tastemaker Room’ with a breakfast viewing on March 29.

On Tuesday, Christie's director and head of department for oriental rugs and carpets Louise Broadhurst led a group of patrons of art and culture around the Good Earth exhibit at the London auction house, Good Earth announced on Facebook. An array of Indian and Islamic textiles, paintings, and artefacts which will be part of Christie's upcoming auction are displayed alongside contemporary products by Good Earth to paint a comprehensive picture of South Asian design. 
 
The event also marked the opening of the exhibition and Tastemaker Room, a room decorated with Good Earth homeware and accessories which is designed to inspire. The exhibition launched ahead of Christie's upcoming Spring 2022 Auction which will take place on March 31.

“Mughal butahs and trellis patterns were amongst our earliest design inspirations,” said Good Earth founder Anita Lal​ about some of the artefacts in the London exhibition.

“Jewellery is also a passion, and my family has been collecting Mughal antiques over generations. This exquisite bazuband was an obvious highlight.”
