The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 7 percent to Rs 2,894 crore, as against Rs 2,706 crore it posted in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

For the fiscal year 2022, Godrej’s profits rose 3 percent to Rs 1,783 crore from Rs 1,720 crore in fiscal 2021 while its revenue grew by 11 percent to Rs12,174 crore as compared to previous fiscal’s Rs 10,936 crore.

Commenting on the results, Sudhir Sitapati, managing director and CEO of GCPL in a statement said, “We delivered a weak performance in 4Q FY 2022. Overall sales grew by 7 percent and our full year sales grew in double-digits. However, this growth was driven by pricing. We continue to believe that with the relatively non-discretionary, mass pricing of our portfolio and very good performance on market shares, volume growth will return in the medium term. Our overall EBITDA declined by 9 percent (without one-offs) driven by unprecedented global commodity inflation and scale deleverage in Indonesia. PAT without exceptional items and one-offs declined by 4 percent.”

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd is owned by the Godrej Group and has a strong presence in the personal care and cosmetics market.
