Godrej Interio eyes Rs 2,500 crore revenue by FY23 end

Godrej Group brand Godrej & Boyce’s flagship brand Godrej Interio expects to reach Rs 2,500 crore in revenue by the end of the 2023 financial year. The brand will also open 100 new stores across India to reach new customers and boost revenue.

Godrej Interio aims to achieve 30% revenue growth in the 2024 financial year thanks to brick-and-mortar expansion and an expanding online presence, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The brand, which specialises in homeware, home textiles, and furniture, plans to open up to 100 stores across Tier 1,2, and 3 locations next fiscal. 
 
“As India is on the course to become third largest economy by 2030, our goal is to make ourselves accessible to all our consumers around the nation,” said Godrej Interio’s senior vice president and business head Swapneel Nagarkar, India Retailing Bureau reported. “Along with stepping up our online presence, we'll keep growing our offline retail presence. Given that furniture is a touch-and-feel category, we observed that many customers purchased the item from our stores after researching it online, so we enhanced our use of digital technology to assist them in making a purchase they would be delighted with.”

As well as expanding online, the brand is also ameliorating its technology to enable it to create more engaging customer experiences in its stores. Over the coming two years, Godrej will invest Rs 150 crore to upgrade both its technology and machinery as it advances its direct-to-customer e-commerce platform.
