Godrej Consumer to distribute one million packets of Mr Magic for free

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has launched an initiative called 'Protekt India Movement', under which it will distribute one million packets of Mr Magic powder-to-liquid hand wash for free.

The company has already partnered with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) in Maharashtra.
 
Under the ‘Protekt India Movement, Godrej has also reduced the price of its sanitisers and plans to partner with various government bodies over the next few months to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Commenting on the initiative, Nisaba Godrej executive chairperson of GCPL in a statement said: “GCPL stands in solidarity with people, health personnel, government workers and everyone who is working tirelessly to beat the coronavirus pandemic. Our intent is to equip them and their families with Mr Magic hand wash as they carry out their duties.”
 
“In the coming days, we will be working with various government bodies and social institutions to give away over 1 million packets of Mr Magic hand wash. We are focusing all our energy on supporting the needs of our citizens. Thus, in the public interest and in line with government regulations, we have reduced the price of our hand sanitisers by 66 percent,” she added.
 
Through this multimedia and multi-channel campaign, Godrej has also been conveying the message of washing hands regularly and correctly to Indians.
