Godrej Consumer names Shilpa Shetty as brand ambassador for its brand Godrej Nupur

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has named Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty as the brand ambassador for its henna-based hair colour brand Godrej Nupur.
 

The brand has launched a campaign featuring the actor across platforms to highlight the product features and increase its visibility.
 
With this association, Godrej aims to strengthen its foothold in the mehendi based powder hair colour segment across urban and rural markets.

Commenting on the association with the brand, Shilpa Shetty, in a statement said: “Godrej is a legacy brand with strong Indian roots and pioneers of hair colour in the county. I am happy to come on board as the brand ambassador for Godrej Nupur.”
 
Sunil Kataria, CEO India at Godrej Consumer Products Limited, added: “Our latest offering Godrej Nupur Natural Henna based hair colour is an extension of the brand portfolio. We are pleased to rope in actress Shilpa Shetty as the face of the brand since she fits well with the brand’s vision of being natural yet stylish. Priced affordably, our henna-based hair colour will also cater to those who prefer natural ingredients but are looking to use a hair colour for the first time.”
 
Godrej Nupur will be available across general trade stores in the country.
