GJEPC to hold The Artisan Awards 2020 with theme 'Architectural Gems'
The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s upcoming Artisan Awards 2020 will take the theme 'Architectural Gems' and entries for its competition are now open, the organisation announced on its website on September 3.
The GJEPC will hold its annual Artisan Awards next year with the theme Architectural Gems. The design contest invites up-and-coming jewellery designers to design a piece of jewellery inspired by one of the theme’s three sub-categories: Art Deco, Islamic Arabesque, and Neo Futurism.
“There is grandeur in their attitude, timelessness in their appeal and immense inspiration stemming from their style philosophies,” wrote the organisers about the three theme categories, as posted on the GJEPC’s website.
Designers wishing to enter the competition must submit a sketch of their jewellery design by October 31. The winner and runners-up of the Artisan Awards 2020 will receive cash prizes and will also be offered internships with well-known luxury jewellery brands.
Previous judges for the GJEPC’s design challenge include Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Farah Khan Ali, Priya Tanna, Payal Singhal, and Pernia Qureshi among other eminent fashion personalities. The GJEPC will announce its jury for the upcoming edition closer to the date.
