The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council joined forces with Microsoft, Tech Data, and PH Teknow to hold a seminar at the Bharat Diamond Bourse in Mumbai. The event took place on May 30 and was designed to promote digital transformation in the gems and jewellery industry.
The event was titled ‘Accelerate Digital Excellence with Microsoft’s Solutions’ and promoted the use of cloud computing for the jewellery industry, the GJEPC reported on its website. The seminar featured insights from Microsoft’s partner technical manager Nitin Patil, Azure director Prakash Joshi, director of cloud solutions Sunil Golani, and Microsoft partner Mohammed Sadiq who all shared knowledge on digital technologies with the attendees.
The event focused on Microsoft’s cloud computing platform Azure and examined case studies of where the software has been beneficial for the jewellery industry. The event also introduced Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps with case studies. The GJEPC is keen to promote the use of technology in the jewellery industry to enable businesses to harness e-commerce and streamline operations for growth.
“By leveraging Azure’s capabilities, the gems and jewellery industry can unlock new opportunities for innovation and enhance the overall customer journey through advanced networking, storage, computing, and application development,” the GJEPC announced on its website.
