The trade show will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre and the GJEPC describes it as “one of Asia’s largest gem and jewellery trade fairs,” the traders body announced on its Facebook page.

The trade show is designed to boost Indian jewellery exports by linking domestic manufacturers with international buyers, importers, retailers, and wholesalers. Featured product categories will include gold jewellery, diamond and gemstone jewellery, bridal jewellery, and lightweight jewellery for everyday wear. Jewellery manufacturing machinery and allied trades will also feature in the event and space allocation for the segment went live on May 24, the GJEPC announced on Facebook.

In order to raise awareness for the upcoming edition of IIJS Premiere, the GJEPC has held exhibitor meets across the country. Events in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Jaipur have enabled exhibitors to network ahead of the trade show and receive information about its various interactive features.

IIJS Premiere will feature over 1,300 exhibitors with over 2,500 booths, according to its website. The trade show expects over 30,000 trade visitors from India and abroad for its 37th edition.

Following on from its Mumbai edition, IIJS will hold a ‘Signature’ edition in Mumbai from January 5 to 8, 2023 and then a ‘Tritiya’ edition in Bengaluru from March 17 to 20, 2023. IIJS trade shows are part of the GJEPC’s wider efforts to increase Indian jewellery exports and revenue.
