The exhibition features an assortment of rough emeralds displayed by Kagem Mining Limited, a Gemfields-owned business based in Zambia.

The emerald exhibition’s launch saw attendance by additional commissioner of customs D.S. Dewal and assistant commissioner of customs Anupama Saksena. The GJEPC’s Coloured Gemstones Panel convenor Mahendra Agarwal and SFT/SS/CFJ Panel convenor B.N. Gupta were also in attendance along with other GJEPC regional committee members and Coloured Gemstones Panel members who welcomed the event’s chief guests and other customs officials.

The India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show runs annually with Kagem Mining Limited and brings together businesses from across India in gem hub Jaipur. The emeralds in the exhibition are mined in Zambia, a country in Africa known for its rich emerald reserves.
