GJEPC kicks off live booth allotment for IIJS Signature, reports positive response to upcoming edition
The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council launched live booth allotment for its upcoming jewellery trade show India International Jewellery Show Signature on November 23 and has reported a strong response.
The GJEPC is preparing to host its next edition of IIJS Signature from January 6 to 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre, located next to the Bharat Diamond Bourse in Mumbai, it announced on its website. In preparation for the trade show, the GJEPC launched a live booth allotment drive from November 23 to 26 where it has been receiving feedback from participating jewellery businesses.
“It’s the first time for all of us and I am sure it will be a good start,” said Jewelex’s senior sales manager Darshan Kataria about the upcoming trade show and its location, the GJEPC reported. “I just hope that the customer flow is maintained since the diamond section is on the third level.”
“It has been a deluge of bookings,” said Manish Bhindi Jewels’ creative head and owner Manish Bhindi about his experience at the recent edition of IIJS Premiere in Bengaluru, the GJEPC reported.
“The market sentiment is very good and this time, buyers are on the waiting list as we manufacturers are unable to keep pace with the growing demand.”
Bhindi said that he will also attend the upcoming Mumbai edition.
Following disruptions to its trade show schedule since the beginning of the pandemic, the GJEPC is restarting its in-person events schedule. Its recent trade shows have followed health and safety measures and had a greater inclusion of online to offline features to facilitate networking beyond the limits of the event.
