The GIA will set up a dedicated section in Hall 5 of the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre for IIJS 2021, the institute announced on Facebook. The GIA will be promoting its research and educational offerings at the trade show as part of its wider objective of promoting India’s gem sector.

The three-day trade show will also feature a wide array of jewellery manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, traders, retailers, and students. The business-to-business event aims to promote the Indian gem and jewellery industry with a focus on international trade and export promotion.

IIJS Premiere will take place in Bengaluru for the first time with its upcoming edition. Full health and safety measures will be followed in line with local regulations and the GJEPC has introduced a number of registration incentives including zero cancellation fees until September 10 in order to encourage jewellery businesses to sign up during the current climate.

The GIA has also sponsored the 46th edition of the India Gems and Jewellery Awards, also organised by the GJEPC. The award ceremony, which awarded individuals and businesses for their performances in 2019, was held in Surat and went live on YouTube on August 27.
