Geisha Designs crafted voluminous 3D florals for its evening wear on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India. The brand showcased womenswear collection ‘Luminescent’ on day one of the Mumbai fashion week

Luminescent was a collection full of classic feminine elements from glitter to swathes of chiffon but the looks were kept modern with hints of masculine tailoring on statement blazers and more structured gowns. Oversized 3D flowers added an Avant Garde element to the collection and gowns made from woven plastic were both sculptural and striking.

The show concluded with entrepreneur and influencer Diipa Khosla walking the ramp as showstopper for Geisha Designs. Khosla wore a black, sheer evening dress with floor-length fringing and a 3D rose which covered the entire bodice of the dress.

Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya launched Geisha Designs in 2001. The brand retails from its dedicated e-commerce store and it also runs couture and bridal lines.

Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the FDCI runs from October 12 to 16 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The fashion week brings together a mix of established and up-and-coming designers from across India and features numerous design challenges and phygital showcases.
