Gaurav Gupta partners with GiveIndia for fundraising initiative

Couture and ready-to-wear brand Gaurav Gupta has partnered with charity GiveIndia to raise funds for Covid-19 relief with a focus on oxygen distribution.

Brand founder and designer Gaurav Gupta has held a number of Instagram live sessions with GiveIndia to promote their work and is encouraging his customers to donate to their cause. Gupta revealed that he had just recovered from Covid-19 himself as he urged people to donate. 
 
GiveIndia is a donation platform which works with over 2,000 NGOs, hospitals, and doctors across India which it has evaluated for transparency and credibility. The charity is currently working to set up oxygen generation plants in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Patna and is providing and refilling oxygen cylinders, as well as providing 75,000 oxygen concentrators. 

The brand has also previously put together a set of resources for those seeking Covid-19 treatment or other related help which it has shared on its Instagram page. By harnessing its social media following, which includes 477,000 Instagram followers, the brand aims to contribute to the fight against the second wave of coronavirus. 
 
As the brand’s flagship stores are closed due to local lockdowns, Gaurav Gupta is holding virtual shopping consultations for customers via WhatsApp, the brand announced on Facebook. Shoppers can browse the brand’s latest bridal and traditional wear collections virtually and receive styling advice from store staff.
