Gaurav Gupta opens its first couture store in Kolkata

Leading couturier Gaurav Gupta entered the eastern region of India with the opening of its first couture store in the city of joy, Kolkata.
 

The new store is located at the Galleria 1910 spreading over an area of 1600 sq ft. It will house the designer’s progressive bridal couture, women’s haute couture along with GG Man for weddings and occasion wear.
 
Along with the store opening, the brand also launches its latest couture collection ‘Undercurent’ which will be available at the store.

Commenting on the Kolkata opening, Gaurav Gupta in a statement said, “We have always aimed to open our flagship stores with a unique mix of couture, glamour, aspiration, warmth and welcome. I am certain that the modern Indian consumer in Kolkata will embrace our surrealism and magic and I am excited to finally be here extending my brand to this rich milieu of culturally rooted yet futuristic audience.”
 
Apart from the Kolkata store, Gaurav Gupta currently has four more stores operating at Kalka Das Marg, Mehrauli and DLF Emporio in New Delhi, along with Kala Ghoda in Mumbai.
 
Gaurav Gupta has plans to open stores in Hyderabad and hold a number of pop-ups across India to further strengthen its retail presence in the fashion market.
