Gaurav Gupta opens Hyderabad flagship store in Banjara Hills

Designer Gaurav Gupta opened his first Hyderabad flagship store on September 29 and unveiled the new space as part celebration for the brand’s upcoming 15th anniversary.

Soon after opening his first flagship store in Kolkata, Gaurav Gupta has inaugurated his latest couture collection in Hyderabad. Gupta’s new store is located in Hyderabad’s luxury shopping district Banjara Hills and sits within a building that is “an ode to the city of Nizams,” the brand posted on Facebook. 

Gupta is known for his modern take on Indian design and his new store is no exception. The spacious boutique houses regal furniture but this contrasts with the simple, metal poles from which Gupta’s couture creations hang. The white, grey, and gold interior is lit up by Gupta’s latest jewel toned couture collection.

“The romance of the regal old and new have been brought together in a harmonious contrast,” wrote the brand. 

Gupta was also recently presented with the GQ “Designer of the Year” award at an event at the JW Marriott in Juhu, Mumbai. The designer thanked brand co-founder Saurabh Gupta and his “fantastic magical team,” as reported on the brand’s Facebook page. 

Gaurav Gupta launched his eponymous brand in 2005 in New Delhi after graduating from Central Saint Martin’s College, London. Along with its new Kolkata and Hyderabad stores, the brand also has two flagships in New Delhi and one in Mumbai.
