Gaurav Gupta’s new online campaign showcases not only his latest couture collection, but also a diverse cast of models and their stories about expressing themselves. Through sharing the struggles, triumphs, and diverse gender identities of his models, Gupta hopes to increase awareness and understanding, he said on Facebook, launching the campaign.

The photo campaign is accompanied by Gupta’s ‘The Love Festival’ seminar series on Instagram. Gupta has already held a number of the seminars on Instagram live including with influencer Diipa Khosla and her Dutch-American husband Oleg Buller, and with musician Raja Kumari. Gupta’s most recent talk was with designer and actor Waris Ahluwalia about cultural shifts in India and the importance of inclusivity.

Gupta first launched the couture collection with a film as the opening act of the Fashion Design Council of India’s first ever digital edition of India Couture Week. The collection contrasts Gupta’s signature sculptural tailoring in bold hues, with delicate layers of chiffon and sparkle to create an aesthetic that is at once modern and traditional.
