Gaurav Gupta and Jahnvi Lakhota Nandan collaborate on limited edition fragrance

The fashion designer Gaurav Gupta has taken part in yet another collaboration and is releasing a limited edition perfume called “Again” in collaboration with Jahnvi Lakhota Nandan.

Following a recent collaboration with Klove Studios for the lighting of his latest couture runway show, Gaurav Gupta has now collaborated with Bombay Perfumery to launch his first scent. The fragrance, entitled “Again” will be previewed at an exclusive event in Paris on September 30 before being officially launched on September 31. The perfume will be available to buy in both of Gupta’s flagship stores in Mumbai and New Delhi as well as in a small selection of boutiques such as at the Living Free boutique in Kolkata. It will also be available online through the Bombay Perfumery e-commerce store and will retail for 10,400 rupees for a 50ml bottle.

“Again” is packaged in a modern shaped bottle that is printed with a photographic image of a forest. Indeed, the Fontainebleau forest in France, located on the outskirts of Paris, was the main inspiration for the scent according to both Gupta and Nandan. The perfume, which has notes of cedar, wood, earth, and moss, is designed to evoke the feel of a woodland and also has sweeter notes designed to bring to mind Prasad. In this way, the scent compliments Gupta’s ethereal fashion aesthetic.

Gupta said about the concept behind the scent: “Within the fantasy of the forest, the wetness of the soil and antennae of the beetle, it is within the realms of this abstract air that “Again” takes birth. It is the paradigm of space in between what has happened, what is currently happening and what is to happen. That is where the essence of the fragrance floats.” Moreover, Gupta went on to say about his and Nandan’s collaboration: “We are now ready to bring out the first serious designer perfume of the country.”
