Gartex expo witnesses 40% surge in exhibitors

The second edition of Gartex a garment and textile exhibition witnessed a 40% growth with participation by exhibitors across India and foreign countries. The three-day exhibition was organised by MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The proportion of overseas buyers from neighbouring countries including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore and Germany has also reportedly increased as compared to the last edition.
 
The expo with the show floor spread over 65,000 sq ft witnessed 16790 trade buyers from India and abroad, to explore the latest technological advancements trending in the garment & textile manufacturing industry, MEX said in a statement.

"Visitors' long queue at the registration is the testimony of the fact that the Show has been well received by the industry. Also, the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the quality of visitors, we could attract for them through our untiring efforts in show-promotion across the country," said Gaurav Juneja, Director, MEX Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd.
 
Industry stakeholders from garmenting, fabric, embroidery, digital printing, sewing, cutting solutions, software and other allied products seemed happy with their participation.
 
Exhibitors from export houses, mill owners, sportswear manufacturers, fashion designers, home furnishing companies, domestic garment manufacturing companies, and textile printing houses took part, representing 225 cities and more than 150 brands/products.
