Garmin India opens second store in Bengaluru

Garmin Limited’s retail unit Garmin India has opened its second brick-and-mortar store in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar. The new 255 square foot experience centre retails the brand’s full range of fitness watches. 

The new store is Garmin India’s fourth in India to date as it has also opened stores in Delhi NCR and Pune as well as its Bengaluru location. “Welcome the house of fitness in the heart of Bangalore,” Garmin announced on Facebook. “We are pleased to inform that Garmin’s all-new exclusive store is now open at Indiranagar, Bangalore. So what are you waiting for? Check the store now and plunge into the world of fitness with us.”
 
The store opening was attended by Garmin India’s country heard Yeshudas Pillai and store owner Rajesh Lunkad. The brand also organised a three kilometre run in the city to advertise the new store and launched a number of promotional offers for shoppers. 

“As the smart wearables market witnessed tremendous growth in the year 2022, our vision is to expand deeper into the Indian market,” said Garmin India’s country head Yeshudas Pillai, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “We saw an exponential year-on-year growth of 62.6% as per Garmin connect data in activity trends in Bengaluru last year compared to 2021, which includes running, walking, and cycling, among top activities. Considering this, we wanted to strengthen our retail presence with the launch of the second brand store in Bengaluru, with an aim to further provide a holistic product experience for our consumers and allow them to engage with Garmin’s superior technology and performance-based smartwatches.”
