The IGJS is the first exclusively international physical trade show to be organised in India post pandemic, the GJEPC announced on its website. The by-invitation event has been organised exclusively for international buyers and runs from May 10 to 12 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre.

A group of 200 Indian jewellery businesses have been selected to take part in the trade show with the aim of showcasing the best of Indian fine jewellery. “These exhibitors from different verticals of the gem and jewellery industry have been hand-picked, taking their prowess to manufacture a range of world-class products, and their ability to cater to different markets across the world,” said GJEPC convenor for international exhibitions Dilip Shah, the GJEPC reported on its website.

The event has been organised in partnership with associate partner Gemfields. Featured product categories include diamonds, coloured gemstones, gold and studded jewellery, and silver jewellery among others.

“India has always been a preferred jewellery sourcing destination for the world, and this is reflected in the $40 billion gem and jewellery exports annually,” said GJEPC chairman Colin Shah, the GJEPC reported. “IGJS Jaipur will be showcasing stunning jewellery pieces that cater to markets like the USA, UK, Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong, etc.”
