GJEPC presents 52 exhibitors at JCK Las Vegas India Pavilion

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council has taken a group of 52 Indian jewellery exhibitors to JCK Las Vegas, US to present contemporary jewellery at the trade show’s India Pavilion.

The trade show, which runs in Las Vegas from June 10 to 13, will feature a 6,320 square foot India Pavilion as well as an India Design Gallery, the GJEPC announced on its website. Products on display will include loose diamonds, coloured gemstones, plain gold jewellery, pearl jewellery, silver jewellery, and diamond and coloured stone studded jewellery.

“There is a renewed synergy and flow of trade between India and the USA, especially in gems and jewellery,” said the GJEPC’s chairman Colin Shah, the GJEPC reported. “India is today recognised for superior, trendy and well-engineered diamond-studded collections that are brought to life with the most high-tech equipment available today. We are one of the largest sources for the US market and our continual presence at JCK Las Vegas show under the India Pavilion section is a testimony to the US retail sector's growing demand for world-class design and quality from India.”

The US market accounted for 37% of India’s total gem and jewellery exports in 2021, representing $14.01 billion out of $38.15 billion, according to Shah. There is also a growing post-pandemic jewellery demand in the US market. To cater to this, jewellers showcasing at the JCK India Pavilion have brought along tailor-made products for the US market. 

As well as showcasing their jewellery, participating brands will be able to network and witness the latest trends in the US market. The India Design Gallery will feature jewellery designed by the finalists of Artisan Awards and brands set to participate in the Pavilion include Derewala, Lotus Jewels, Jewelariaa Private Limited, Dilmaz Jewellery, and Valentine Jewellery International among others.
