GJEPC launches first Lab-Grown Diamond Buyer Seller Meet in Surat

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council inaugurated its first ever Lab-Grown Diamond Buyer Seller Meet in Surat on April 5. The trade event runs until April 7 and features over 20 Indian jewellery manufacturers.

“The first edition of the Lab-Grown Diamond Buyer Seller Meet 2023 in Surat kicked off with a bang, setting the stage for an extraordinary event,” the GJEPC announced on Facebook on April 5. “The venue is abuzz with excitement as industry leaders, diamond manufacturers, and buyers from worldwide have gathered here… Lab Grown Diamond Buyer Seller Meet in Surat is a three-day show in a one-on-one meeting format that allows for personalised interactions, enabling manufacturers to showcase their products and capabilities and buyers to source business efficiently.”
 
The business-to-business event’s first day welcomed the ITS development commissioner and additional director general of foreign trade Virendra Singh as its guest of honour. Numerous GJEPC members attended and the event is supported by the Government of India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The event’s venue is Le Meridien in Surat, Gujarat and over 40 international and national visitors have signed up to take part. The event’s logistics partner is Secure Global Logistics. On its first day, the trade show was met with “stellar responses” from visitors, according to the GJEPC.
