“The event saw a packed room of around 100 attendees,” the GJEPC reported on its website. The seminar detailed the benefits of importing and exporting precious goods using India Post and post master general for Maharashtra Amitabh Singh was guest speaker at the event.

“Singh informed that India Post now offered easy, cost-effective shipping solutions through the universal EMS Speed Post service for internationally tracked packets,” reported the GJEPC. “The service is available in 16 major countries including important trading destinations such as the USA, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Japan and Singapore.”

The seminar also covered how to utilise the Custom Declaration System through using a Postal Bill of Exports and Singh answered attendees’ questions on the process. Singh promoted using the state postal service as opposed to international shipping businesses such as DHL, FedEx, and AraMex and compared costs between the businesses.

The event was attended by a number of dignitaries including Bharat Diamond Bourse president Anoop Mehta and vice president Mehul Shah. The GJEPC’s vice chairman Kirit Bhansali and convenor for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise sub-committee Naresh Lathiya were also in attendance.
