GJEPC appoints Anil Virani and Khushboo Ranawat to its Committee of Administration

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council has appointed Anil Virani and Khushboo Ranawat to its Committee of Administration. Virani joins the CoA’s Diamond Panel and Ranawat joins the Gold Jewellery and Other Precious Metal Jewellery Panel and both will serve in their new roles until 2024.

Both Virani and Ranawat have held positions in the GJEPC’s CoA in the past and return to lend their expertise to the council, the GJEPC announced on its website on November 22. Virani is managing director at Mumbai-based diamond manufacturing business KARP Group and Ranawat is a director at Swarnashilp Chain and Jewellers Private Limited, also based in Mumbai. 
 
“The Council welcomes aboard Mr. Anil Virani and Ms. Khushboo Ranawat as members of the CoA,” said GJEPC chairman Vipul Shah, the GJEPC reported on its website. “Both of them comes with rich experience in their respective fields and we are happy to have such illustrious and enthusiastic professionals amongst us; their vast experience and knowledge will be crucial for the growth of the industry. Together, the entire CoA will strive to make positive improvements and contribute significantly to the future growth of the industry.”  
 
The GJEPC CoA is currently comprised of 25 members. The organisation is split into a number of panels including the Diamond Panel, Coloured Gemstones and Pearls Panel, Lab-Grown Diamond Panel, Studded Jewellery Panel, and Gold Jewellery Panel among others. Headquartered in Mumbai, the GJEPC represents over 8,500 jewellery industry members across India.
