GIII Apparel: positive results in Q3

Published
Dec 8, 2014

For its third quarter ending on October 31, GIII Apparel recorded a 21% increase in sales at 812.3 million dollars. The rise was in part due to the 65.7 million dollars generated by the footwear brand GHBass, which was acquired by the American group in November 2013. GIII’s net earnings, meanwhile, jumped by 35% to 80.1 million dollars.

GIII Apparel, which owns Crankshaft and holds licenses for Calvin Klein, Guess and Levi’s, saw a 28% rise in its turnover the first nine months of its 2014 fiscal year at 1.6 billion dollars.

The group now expects to end its financial year on January 31, 2015 with a turnover of 2.13 billion dollars as compared with its previous forecast of 1.71 billion.
