GCPL names Anushka Sharma as its new brand ambassador

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has appointed Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma as the new face of its hair colour brand Godrej Expert Rich Crème.
 

The brand will be launching a multi-media campaign with the actress which will be promoted across television, digital and social media.
 
With its association with the actress, Godrej is looking to target the young consumer base for future growth in the hair color segment.

Commenting on the association with the actress, Sunil Kataria chief executive India and SAARC at GCPL, said: “We are thrilled to partner with the country’s leading superstar Anushka Sharma to chart our future growth road map. This strategic association will enable us to penetrate the younger target groups for crème hair colour while enhancing the loyalty of existing users.”
 
Anushka Sharma added: “Godrej has been a legacy brand that has pioneered hair colours in India. I am pleased to associate with Godrej Expert Rich Crème. I’m looking forward to building a strategic journey forward and furthering the company’s vision for India.”
 
Godrej has been witnessing strong growth in the hair colours segment contributing significantly to the company’s overall revenue with an increasing market share.
