Future Lifestyle Fashion reports 10 percent rise in revenue, net profit up 3 percent

Future Group’s lifestyle unit Future Lifestyle Fashion revenue was up 10 percent to Rs 1117.80 crore (approx $173.2 million) in the second quarter ended September 30 as compared to the Rs 1,019.34 crore (approx $158 million) it had posted during the same period of last financial year.

The net profit of the firm rose minimally at 3 percent to Rs 30.28 crore (approx $4.7 million) as compared to Rs 29.33 crore (approx 4.6 million) it posted during the corresponding period last year.
 
Future Lifestyle Fashion expanded its retail presence across the country in the first of the financial year by opening outlets for its flagship stores Central & Brand Factory.

The company added Central stores in metro cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and the National Capital Region (NCR) and offered its customers Future Pay wallet option which was launched in the first half to enter the digital payments space, the company said in an investor presentation
 
It also added 5 Brand Factory stores which included the upgradation of the Marathalli, Bangalore store.
 
Earlier this month, there were reports that Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart is interested in picking up a stake Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd and currently in talks with the Kishore Biyani, Future Group to crack the deal.
 
Future Lifestyle Fashions has around 400 retail outlets in 90 cities across India.
