Future Lifestyle Fashion Q4 profit up 40 percent to Rs 36 crore

Future Lifestyle Fashion Limited, part of Kishore Biyani-led Future Group witnessed a 40 percent surge in its net profit to Rs 36 crore ($5.2 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2019 as a result of strong sales.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 26 crore during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2017-18.
 
Future Lifestyle net sales also grew 30 percent during the quarter to Rs 1281 crore as against Rs 977 crore it had reported during the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The company attributed the growth in revenue and profit to strong performances by its power brands, and brand factory new store additions during the quarter.
 
"Revenue share of discounted chain Brand Factory rose from 27 percent to 35 percent in Q4 that impacted absolute EBIDTA margin. FLF business crossed Rs 6000 crore gross revenue milestone in 2018-19,” the company said in a statement.
 
FLFL is India’s largest integrated fashion company with a diversified portfolio spanning 30 fashion brands (both company-owned and licensed) such as Lee Cooper, Indigo Nation, Jealous 21, Bare and All among others.
 
FLFL retails through over 400 stores spread over 6 million square feet that comprise company operated chains Central and Brand Factory, EBOs, department stores, and multi-brand outlets.
