French Federation names Elena Carrettoni executive in charge of Paris runway show calendars
Oct 11, 2018
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, French fashion’s governing body, has appointed Elena Carrettoni to manage the catwalk calendars of the Paris runway seasons.

Including menswear, women’s prêt-a-porter and haute couture there are six full runway seasons annually in the French capital.
The position is notoriously complicated as it requires balancing the requirements and demands for the best possible time slots by major global brands, acclaimed independent designers and rising stars.
Carrettoni was appointed by the federation’s president Ralph Toledano and its executive president Pascal Morand. Her official title in French is Responsable du Calendrier Officiel.
“Elena will be in charge of coordinating all the calendars of Paris Fashion Week (PFW), both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, along with the couture,” the two presidents said in an official statement.
As reported, last month the federation also appointed Guillaume Robic as director of development, communications and special events.
Together, Robic and Carrettoni will jointly cover the position previously overseen by Laurence Soudre, who left the organization in May.
A graduate of Marangoni fashion college in Milan, Carrettoni first entered the Federation in 2007, rising through the ranks to her new position.
