French brand Celio to strengthen India presence, launch e-commerce channel

French menswear brand Celio is looking to scale up its India operations and expand to tier II, III cities for further growth. The brand also plans to launch its own e-commerce platform later this year.

Celio has a joint venture with India’s leading retailer Future Group and operates in the country under the company Celio Future Fashion Pvt Ltd India. With the backing and support of Future Group, Celio is planning to expand aggressively across the country especially South India.
 
The brand has stated that it has received great traction from the Southern region where it has almost 55 percent of its retail presence and looking to further boost it by adding an additional 300 touch points over the next two years.

“Celio is looking at expanding to Tier II and III cities in the country and the company is targeting a 35 percent growth in the current financial year, he said adding that plans are there to launch an e-commerce channel this year,” Abhishek Shetty, head of marketing at Celio, told the Businessline.
 
“South is the key region for Celio in India with 55 per cent of its retail presence and the brand is looking to add 300+ touch points in the next 24 months,” Shetty said.
 
Celio is a European menswear brand and is present across 1,000 stores in 60 countries. Currently Celio retails in India through its exclusive 40 standalone stores and 128 shops in leading departmental stores.
