Fox Head reviews its European team

When Fox Head put Mathieu Bazil in charge of its European activity, they gave him an ambitious journey to undertake. In order to achieve these goals, the former Managing Director of Oxbow has created various new posts, welcoming a plethora of new employees to the company.

In the spring, Bazil enlisted a former DC Shoes colleague, Charles Chavenel, to take the position of Brand Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Nicolas burger, formerly at Nike Europe, will be looking after sales.

Country Manager for France is another of Bazil's ex-colleagues, Julien Bretagne from Oxbox. Heading the Spanish and Portuguese markets is Vazquez-Costales Jeronimo, ex-Billabong and Nike Action Sports employee. On top of the personnel switch-up, the company’s head office will be moving from Newcastle, where it has stayed for historical reasons, to Barcelona. A team of around 40 people will be working out of the Spanish capital.

“With our five sports (motorsport, MBT, BMX, surf and wakeboarding) we have the opportunity to develop over many markets,” says Matthieu Bazil. “Fox Head makes 10 to 12% of its sales in Europe. The new strategy hopes to see that figure rise to 30 or 35%,” he added.
