Forever 21 opens its fourth store in Delhi-NCR

Los Angeles-based fashion brand Forever 21, marketed in India by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) opened its fourth store in Delhi-NCR.

The new store is located at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and spread over an area of 6,000 square-feet. The store was inaugurated by Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter.
 
The store will house the latest Forever 21 Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. The women’s collection will include sequin tops, mini suede skirts, cozy shearling jackets, and more while the men’s collection will feature crew-knit sweaters, top coats, distressed denim, and trousers.

Commenting on the launch, Rahul Jhamb, Business Head, Forever 21 in a statement, said, “We are excited to launch our 4th store in the fashion capital. North is an important market for us and we are delighted with the overwhelming response we have received so far.”
 
ABFRL has been very thoughtful with its store openings for Forever 21 in India and has been opening stores in cities in which the brand has delivered strong sales in the past.
 
The company had incurred losses of Rs 23 crore (approx $3.45 million) in the fast-fashion section mainly due to Forever 21’s poor performance in the last quarter.
 
As a result, ABFRL decided to restructure and resize its existing Forever 21 stores to cut down on its losses and had limited the number of new store openings to six to eight a year.
 
ABFRL is India's leading fashion retailer with 2,465 brand stores which includes 275 Pantaloons stores, 4,982 multi-brand outlets (MBOs) and nearly 4,054 points of sale in department stores across the country.
