With this association, Forest Essentials will set up a collection facility in each of their stores across the country and encourage customers to dispose of waste material of its products through a reward programme.

Reliance will use the waste collected at the Forest Essential stores to effectively re-purpose and recycle it into secondary applications such as new fibres, bottles, containers, carpets, clothing, upholstery fabrics, fibrefill for winter jackets, sleeping bags, and other such items.

Commenting on the partnership, Vipul Shah, chief operating officer at RIL’s petrochemical business, in a statement said: "Sustainability and circularity concepts are embedded in everything we do at Reliance’s petrochemicals business. We encourage entrepreneurs to promote organized recycling and our partnership with Forest Essentials is a step in that direction.”

Samrath Bedi, managing director of Forest Essentials, added: "Forest Essentials has always partnered with credible and leading organizations who understand our vision, maintain the integrity of the brand ethos and help us stand out from the crowd. RIL has been on the forefront to drive plastic recycling and waste management and we are proud to be associated with them driving the new chapter in our sustainability charter."

Launched in 2000, Forest Essentials is a luxury beauty and wellness brand based on Ayurvedic principles. The brand retails from its dedicated e-commerce store as well as a network of brick-and-mortar stores across India.
