Footwear maker Walkaroo eyes revenue of Rs 1,000 crore by 2021

Footwear brand Walkaroo from U4ic (Euphoric) International is eyeing revenue of Rs 1,000 crore ($142.5 million) over the next two years.

The south India-based footwear maker will make strategic investments to achieve its target revenue and plans to strengthen its retail network across the country this year.
 
The company has already taken its first step by signing Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as the company’s new brand ambassador to widen its customer base across India.

“Since 2016 our revenue from Walkaroo has jumped from Rs 100 crore to Rs 480 crore. We are targeting to touch Rs 1,000 crore sales in the next two years. The group has an annual turnover of Rs 1,500 crore, which includes revenue generated from its other brands and exports,” the company’s managing director Noushad Veluthedath told PTI.
 
“Walkaroo’s strength lies in the semi-urban market across the country. We are looking to strengthen our network, 20-25 franchisee-exclusive showrooms will come up in the next 12 months,” he added.
 
Walkaroo currently has four exclusive outlets in the country and also sells through 550 distributors and 1.5 lakh retailers across the country.
