Footwear brand Red Chief to launch new brands, expand retail footprint

Red Chief, a footwear brand by Leayan Global Pvt Ltd, is planning to launch three new sub-brands next year as it looks to widen its customer base to boost sales.

Red Chief will be launching women’s footwear brand, Lamoure, and Top-Brass for men, as well as another party wear brand, to cater to the premium segment.
 
The company also plans to expand its retail footprint by opening 150 new outlets to take its store count to 320 over the next three years.

“The footwear industry is likely to be driven by the rising fashion consciousness among the young and growing consumers footwear preference in line with their lifestyles. After having tasted success in the leather business, we now plan to expand our men’s category and foray first into women’s and later into kids’ category for the next phase of growth,” Manoj Gyanchandani, managing director of Leayan Global, told the New Indian Express.
 
“We have a significant presence in the North and now our focus is to expand aggressively in the Southern markets beginning with Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh,” he said, adding it aims to end FY20 with a sales growth of 15-20 percent over the previous year.
 
Red Chief currently sells through 3,000-plus multi-brand outlets, over 170 exclusive stores and all leading e-commerce platforms in India.
