Footwear brand Liberty enters lifestyle segment

India’s leading footwear company Liberty Shoes Limited has entered the lifestyle segment with the launch of its new range of perfumes.

The newly launched EDP (Eau de Parfum) collection consists of twelve fragrances for men and women. The entire range is priced between Rs 1,699 (approx $22) and Rs 2,499 (approx $30).
 
Liberty is hoping for a good response to its perfume collection, especially from the millennials and aims to sell 2 lakh bottles by end of next year.

Commenting on the expansion of its product portfolio, Adesh Kumar Gupta, CEO, Liberty Shoes Limited, in a statement said, “The fragrance segment currently occupies 5% share of the total lifestyle market in India giving us a huge window for growth. We aim to establish the brand as the most preferred and recognized luxury perfume brands by 2020.”
 
“Also, we are hoping to get a tremendous response from the millennial and are targeting sales of over 2 Lakh bottles by the end of next year. This launch is only the beginning for us and we are also looking at expanding our product portfolio by the end of next year,” he added.
 
The new range of perfumes will be available at select Liberty outlets across the country from mid-October onwards and at multiple leading e-commerce platforms and leading retail outlets.
 
Liberty Shoes currently has a total of 400 flagship stores across India and is present in over 5,000 multi-brand outlets and also retails from its own e-commerce store.
