Flipkart Wholesale expands operations to 12 new cities

Flipkart Wholesale has strengthened its operations and expanded into 12 new cities, as it looks to take small businesses across Indian online, amid the Covid-19 disruptions.

Flipkart Wholesale is now operational in Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Mysore, Chandigarh Tricity, Meerut, Agra, Jaipur, Thane-Bhiwandi-Ulhasnagar, Greater Mumbai, Vasai-Virar-Mira-Bhayanadar, Thane (Kalyan-Dombivli), and Thane (Navi Mumbai).
With the expansion, Flipkart will handhold transform kiranas and MSMEs to help them grow faster while improving their profitability.
Commenting on the expansion, Adarsh Menon senior vice president and head Flipkart Wholesale in a statement said, “As we enter the festive season, we are excited to be scaling up our offerings across 12 cities, aiming to create more opportunities for MSMEs and Kiranas. We aim to help small businesses embrace digital transformation and emerge as more robust businesses.”
“Since the launch, we have partnered with several leading brands, and enabled ease of doing business digitally for SMBs and Kiranas. We’re excited to see our initiative contributing to the prosperity of MSMEs, Kiranas and creating lakhs of new & exciting livelihood opportunities in India,” he added.
Flipkart had recently strengthened its kirana (small store) network by onboarding more than 50,000 kiranas in 850 cities across India.
