As part of the realignment, Adarsh Menon senior vice president and head private Brands, electronics and furniture will head a new business initiative of Flipkart.

The announcement was made by group CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, in an email to employees, which stated that Flipkart is identifying new opportunities, as per a report in the Financial Express.

Other key changes at the organisation include the moving of Manish Kumar vice-president of business development to head the private label business.

Ajay Yadav, Flipkart's head of large appliances and mobile businesses, will take charge of the electronics business unit, which was under Menon.

The company will also name its furniture business as the books, general merchandise and home (BGMH) category.

Flipkart has been investing heavily in recruiting and retaining its top management after the company saw an exodus of some key executives last year.

Flipkart’s group head of fashion and head of fashion subsidiary, Myntra Rishi Vasudev, is also expected to leave the business in March 2020, after joining in 2014.
